FRENCH IMMERSION
French Immersion is a program which begins in Pre-K or Kindergarten at various school campuses across the parish.
Children are taught the core subjects in French, with the exception of English, Language Arts. We start the immersion process at a young age, when children's minds are more open. Students who begin Immersion are encouraged to remain in French Immersion classes through 8th grade.
While in middle school, students take credit and placement exams which will allow them to continue studying upper-level French in high school if they choose to do so.
Research has shown that students in Immersion programs, on average, perform better on standardized tests than do their non-immersion peers.

Transportation is provided for our Immersion students throughout the district, depending on bus and bus stop availability.
